Slider: Gold finally starting to respond to the plunging dollar and equity market turmoil. Gold stocks acting very well and much stronger than bullion as would be expected in a nascent bull market. Bill Murphy of GATA pointed out recently that the manipulators have not allowed gold to rally strongly for 2 days in a row since February. Today was a good day -- if we have another decent rally tomorow -- it may be a sign that the "boys" are finally losing control.

re XAU and a gold spike: Does anyone know how extensive is the gold hedging made by the companies that make up the XAU index? If it is extensive, a sharp upward spike in the POG may lead to problems with these XAU companies and hence to the index itself.

You see, SOTB, I put them in 2 portfolios--just to see evaluate either your picks or your puffery timing! So far, you aren't doing so hot. Writing volumes about the hows and whys now don't change the facts. Maybe I should do the same for your oil drilling fetish. Are you any better over on that topic?
