Time to panic?

No way.

Look at the gains in the NAZ

1991 56%
1992 15%
1993 15%
1994 -3%
1995 40%
1996 23%
1997 21%
1998 40%
2 years to present 6%

Just because the NAZ went to 5000 and back to 2332 is no reason for the Fed to cut rates. Face it, it was a bubble and good riddance to it. Waiting for Greenspan is hoping against hope that he will bail out speculators mistakes.

[EDIT] That wasn't meant to be directed to you John, just those who are moaning about the Fed.

RE:"Oh. I thought this was the Bush election rally you were projecting. Sorry, mean spirited humor seems appropriate today."

Oh don't worry, you've been mean before, I'm used to it...

The "election" rally came the first week of this month and lasted about that long. Now it's Clintons baby again but only because he took credit for the up move. LOL...

Interesting that the shopping center and mall parking lots are all full here. I circled the lot at office depot this afternoon but only managed a little "lot rage" and no parking spot so I left.

I guess I will just label your anger "stock rage" and let it go at that.
