Stretchmarks and extensions can make "timing" a joke as Temple Williams likes to call those indicators. Sometimes those types of indicators work quickly and others times they are ignored.

But at some point, one can expect a more normal deviation between price and MA's.

The gap will close eventually, maybe with the price going up towards the MA (aka bounce) or it can close with the MA going down toward the price (down/flat mkt).

Same idea with the Volatility Index data...I believe.

i was just pointing out the old adage about a stretched rubber band

In my case I had too much wine with dinner where I was at.

Foolish me, I thought I could get there and get away with drinking ginger ale. Before I walked in the door there was a whiskey/rocks on the bar for me and it went downhill from there.

Thank God I had a ride.
