these are the only standing pillars now
they are very large and very broad pillars though
all else appears to be seriously threatened

good metaphor on "boogeymen" for Houses
the only true boogeymen are Fed Governors
they have mismanaged beyond belief
the sad paradox that I see is this:

EVEN WITHOUT A FED TIGHTENING, SUMMER 2000 WOULDVE SEEN SLOWDOWN
all by itself

now a recession is 50-50, but a brief one
if & when unemployment approaches 4.5%, then we will have it
it is now 4.0%, up a tick from summertime

those who dont understand the depth of problems are sure to continue to show surprise as events and deterioration unfold
