Johnny Q, with fertilizer plants shutting down, farmers won't have much of a corn crop in the upcoming season. No corn equals no feed for livestock.

Corn futures could be a play for those who feel inclined towards those types of things.

Hi "JQ"

Just read your quotes over on RRC....good points, but I thought you were broke? Kindofamusing that over there they think you and Slider are "tight". LOL

Took a quick look at the charts on Royl,DNR,CHK,TMR.....If these have been large holdings for you this year, then hot damn, man, congratulations!!!! Doubles, triples,fourples....whoa!

And me? I've been trading my a$$ off, rather than buy and hold (with the exception of MEXP, which I have just cleared myself of, and RRC which I have sold all but my final 1/3rd position.)

I have to agree with some of the posters on RRC... it is a value play, based on the long term NG story. The four horsemen you mentioned all look to me like "flash in the pan" situations, where they will fall as fast as they rise.

If you are living with your eye on the screen, then you should do ok.

It is amazing to me. I have made so much more money trading than I ever thought possible. But I tire of the constant pressure...it spooks me to go back and look at past trades. So often they are at 50% of what I sold them at. Some of the tech trades of a few years back are at 20 and 30cents on the dollar. My scant 100 shares of LU that I did end up holding the bag are now worth 1/8 of what they were last year! (and at the value they were when they spun off of ATT!!!!!!

So, I will pass on your hi fliers, and I think you should consider yourself to be "playing with fire"....we all can't win-em-all....

Cosmo
