hope so-I'm getting nervous with 67% still in cash.--George-did you have to post that AAII number! Methinks we bottom either Tomorrow or by next Wed latest (dec27). Macd oscillator back to zero line on the 15min, 30min and hourly charts, in keeping with a 4....Need a 5 down , need a 5. Mr G better not cut rates on me now!Nah, he wouldn't do that in Dec.

Trying the same thing, but got, so to speak, caught short - drew back from the intraday charts, which sometimes tend to make things look relatively rational, and looked at some of the dailies. I know I questioned someone who called this market "zany" the other day, but, though I do think it's not really any zanier than Feb-Mar, the price action on some of these stocks is pure insanity, or inanity, or both. What else is there to be said about a stock like INKT? Round trip from 21 to 49 back to 20 in the space of 13 sessions... Or, over the same period, QLGC: 73 to 130 to 63... ITWO: 41 to 70 to 36. EXTR: 46 to 89 to 26... ARTG: 27 to 49 to 19... It goes on and on...

That strikes me as rather volatile.

those bearish rising wedgies, into gap resistance, in the biotech generals are fulfilling their destiny <ggg>

I guess once those get butchered some more the bottom will be in since they are the last holdouts of the tech mania. I tried to stay long the NDX, from last night, with a smallish position in my 401K but, I puked it up at the end of the day. I cut it too close to the end of the day to take off my SPX position in the 401K. Maybe we will get the rally going as LG and Sew and BB insinuate.

When will I ever see another cup and handle pattern??? I just could not play the one in SLM!!! Yeah, there's a real innovative company, right?!

Looking at the 5 min $compx chart (formations and chart
patterns are telling intraday as well), current pattern
appears weak to me, like it should break-down and fill the
gap below, at least. Rally is being sold, resistance is
stiff. Another attempt to fill an overhead gap looks to
fail again as did on 12/18 with the gap above from 12/14.
Maybe this time is different; just looks like same old, same old to me.
