What I don't get is why the market sold off after the Fed
didn't cut ? The Fed practically said they would cut in
their next meeting. So why the vicious selloff ? I would
have thought the market would rally to price in the rate
cut and then have a selloff on the news of the rate cut.
Instead we have CSCO hitting new lows , the opticals taking
it in the gonads after bieng so oversold. I think the market
is recognizing that the economy is freezing over really fast
and is trying to discount it. I don't think a rate cut
will rally the market very hard either. We will have an
anemic bounce which will be sold. I know you will take
my negativity as evidence that you are on the right track.
God knows the number of times the market has fooled me this
year.

>I look at a stock like SUNW ...bounce all the way to 40<

Since SUNW is one of the stocks I own, I would love to see this stock continue "to bounce" well past 40!

Great post on the AMZN board...you bring up some good points.

Buy large companies with lots of cash and seasoned management.

I agree that both of these are important...and both can be found in some smaller companies as well.
