Time is basically awareness of change. I emphasize awareness.

This is the difficulty--two senses of time: The apparent change itself, in the material world, and the perception taking place in the world of consciousness. Because time is a perceived event, and because the observer will always thus contaminate the experiment--how can we ever detach it from consciousness, and know that it is separate? Do we just assume?

I know. I'm just trying to imagine it...

For me if you "freeze" everything, THAT is motionlessness. Can you have existence with out motion, and if so what is it? You used the word awareness to communicate something that is obviously transcendent. I'm clear on the concept, but I have a visualization problem. What metaphor from that library that I know (mine!) can I use to bridge this gap? Is there an analog?

I can imagine an omnipotent being, but it would still be active. The space over which it moved could transcend our time frame but it would still be "motion", not stasis.

Time is basically awareness of change.

I suppose one could also say that time is an awareness of no change, there are many things that don't change, but time still exists... but, why must there be awareness... certainly, time can exist without anyone's awareness... awareness and time are two separate entities.....
