Bosco, I noticed the news about Dell'Oro reporting that NT had almost doubled its market share in layer 3 ethernet switching. Where can I find the numbers? I suspect the reason is NT is leveraging its lead in optical. In other words, layer 3 switches are sold as part of an optical system. At one time, Bay and later NT were #1 in layer 3 and then slipped in back of Cisco, Foundry and Extreme. It is good to see them coming back.

NMSS went up way beyond it's value back this summer but then it crashed way below it's value now. The market is pretty crazy this way (i guess too many mo-mo daytraders create extremem distortions?).

I HAVE TO learn how to play this trading game as I have held onto too many stocks that have gone way up & then way down, not making any money during those swings.

NMSS develops Telco quality/scaleable computer-telephony boards (fax, video, voice, data, etc.) to enable system developers to put up IP gateways, fax servers, voice-recognition systems, voice-processing systems, etc.etc.

In other words they are in the forefront of enabling enhanced multi-media application platforms in the networking industry and in the enterprise market. The fact that they were instrumental and one of the founding member of MVIP (bus protocol standard between board mfg) and the fact that they have great reputation with the OEM buyers means that they will have no problem surviving -- especially with the cash hoard they manage to round up in the hot telecom market days of past.

Worst case, they will get taken out by INTC in my opinion.
