"I want to know into what this ILECs' roll out is going to turn into."

elmatador- Well that's the $64,000 question. I'm interested in your views. I liked ALL your 'DSL is dead' ideas except for the one unanswered question....

What about the battle of the giants-Cablecos vs. the Telcos. Tens of millions of $40/month subscribers are out there waiting and waiting. Eager to part with their money. Are the ILECS just going to say to the cablecos, 'You can have them.'

And as the cablecos and BBFW players move into the telcos business market, are the telcos just going to say, 'You can have them too.'

I know you are a big mobile wireless fan(so am I), but it can't economically compete with wired technologies in such a wired nation(USA). After 100 years, the telcos(if the FCC does not screw up) have finally met their competior--HFC and xMDS.

How will the telcos finally deal with true competition? My best guess is DSL. -MikeM(From Florida)
