Just wondering on what basis, you can make those highly inflamatory remarks that are above. John Ashcroft has more honor and decency than 99% of those involved in any form of government. Can you please provide the substance of your claims of Ashcroft's racism?

This is one reason why Democrats are no longer taken seriously. What evidence is there that Ashcroft is "dedicated to keeping blacks off the bench"? Are you talking about the nominee he blocked because he thought the guy was unqualified? He happened to be black. It takes courage to take a stand and not cave to pressure. It doesn't do anybody any favors to give an unqualified guy a pass. It's insulting to blacks to say he should have gotten the appointment just because he's black.
