Do you think Cramer sold or shorted JDSU prior to his article? Or do you believe he let us in on his opinion before he himself took any action?

Let's see, one of the definitions of Manipulator is:

dictionary.com

2.To influence or manage shrewdly or deviously: He manipulated public opinion in his favor.

On the other hand, you seem to believe that Cramer is an investment Guru. A Guru is defined as follows:

dictionary.com

3/a. - A recognized leader in a field: the guru of high finance.

To determine whether Cramer is a Guru or a Manipulator we must look at his calls.

Based on Wade's research (previously posted), Cramer seems to make so many predictions that he forgets what he says. So to retain his perfect call accuracy he changes his calls as he sees fit. This would, at best, classify him as a low-level Guru.

On the other hand, he has many followers who get to see his mug on TV regularly and read his prophecies daily. He shrewdly sends out signs of ominous things to come knowing that his flock will quickly heed his warnings and scamper like cockroaches when the lights are clicked on.

Hmmmm.....I wonder what would happen if the lights weren't turned on?

Well, Guru or Manipulator...you make the call!

Vince

he's not in love with this stock like most here are. These SI threads convince you to hold stocks that you should be selling.

So well put. Same people were complaining and arguing it was time to buy a month ago.

I sort of agree with this. I think Cramer moves in and out of stocks very quickly and unfortunately his second by second opinion on these moves is published.
