I have no position in JDSU, onurbius.

Not short, not long. Only sayin' I'd avoid it.

This viewpoint is just a balance to the incessant cheerleading here.

And I don't _hope_ JDSU goes down either. That just means more pain for the shareholders here. I hope people here can break even on their losing trades.

Ask you this though .. how long have people on this thread been hoping for a recovery? For months? And how long have people here been cheerleading this stock here? For months. Has anyone expressed a contrary position here? And what reception did they get?

All I can say to the gurus on this thread (who have been bullish on JDSU as it fell from the 90s to the 40s) is:
'you're the blind leading the blind'.

Maybe that is true but it does not justifying buying Jdsu when it is still 'settling'. I bought a couple thousand shares of Sunw 2 weeks ago when it dropped to 40. Looked like a great bargain until it dropped to 35. I bought another thousand there which only looked good for another hour or so. Finally I sold it all at 31.5 before it went to 25.5. I love Jdsu and know of a respected MM associate of mine who bought in 'conservative accounts' Jdsu at 70 2-3 weeks ago. It looks very tempting here but until it stops the lower lows, I would at most nibble, and likely should not be buying here. I agree shorting it here may be unwise. Yet you look at Yhoo. It looked like a steal at 100 in August. Who could imagine it would trade this low? Steve D. Ps. Look at Scmr. I sold that one two at a low at 58 recently. I did not even want it when it dropped to 30+ the other day. Jdsu is a great company but stock prices sometimes disconnect from the prospects of 'great' companies.
