It's probably true for the NDX calls since volatility is still rising, and extended rallies usually occur concurrent with a downtrend for the NDX IV. This was the case in the run from May to September. I think it troughed in the mid 20's. It's interesting that there's still a 50 basis point spread between the Fed Funds rate and the Discount rate. Al could still lower rates by .75 percentage point before he touches the Discount rate.
