WESTBORO, Mass., June 5 /PRNewswire/ --
Switchboard Incorporated (Nasdaq: SWBD), leading provider of directory
technology and Nearbuy(SM) locally targeted e-marketing solutions, today
announced an agreement with AT&T Wireless (NYSE: AWE) that adds Nearbuy

for items they seek. Distributed over Web sites, wireless devices, directory
assistance and concierge services, the new service connects millions of
motivated consumers with local merchants eager to fulfill their needs.
AT&T Digital PocketNet service gives subscribers free, unlimited access to
over 80 Internet services and offers flat rate pricing for unlimited e-mail
and full Web browsing capabilities.
Nearbuy is currently available as "Product Locator" to all PocketNet
customers in the "Shopping" folder of the AT&T Wireless service.
"Ultimately, people shop locally for items, not stores," said Ben Paul,
president of Switchboard's Nearbuy Merchandising group. "Our work with AT&T
Wireless will now allow all AT&T Digital PocketNet users to search the shelves
of local retailers for the precise items they want to buy."
"AT&T has developed an extensive suite of wireless offerings that have

services are important elements that help us deliver highly relevant
applications to our customers."

extensive distribution, and further demonstrates our leadership in delivering
best-in-class directory solutions."
