looking for a killer ap?...listen to Nokia's conference in London last week:

nokia.com

some comments on that conference:

Consider these comments from NOK:
1) In China, GSM will be by far the defacto standard and will grow very fast while the CDMA market will exist but will be relatively small to GSM. {A year ago in a different market climate, IDCC would have jumped $25 or more on such a proclamation}
2) Base Station volume production will begin in the last half of 2001.
3) NOK has signed agreements for 25% of the available 3G contracts and is in negotiations with several more big players right now.
4) At peak production, the number of base stations which will be produced are, "A LOT" [This answer was accompanied by laughter from several NOK representatives -- indicating a coy confidence].
5) There will be more mobile internet browsers than fixed browsers by 2002.
6) In an answer to a question about partners, NOK stated that "NOK attracts the most advanced technological partners ... and we like to work with our partners to find win-win solutions for all involved." [I'm assuming IDCC is amongst the companies they are speaking about.]

In answering this question: "Please explain more clearly why Nokia has been so much less successful in CDMAone than in, for example, GSM and TDMA?"
NOK states,"there is no issue in regards to IPR which affects our ASIC development ... the fundamental way we do that is not amongst the sharing."

since the number of mobile internet browers is increasing at a rate of 3X that of fixed browsers, it is clear that laptop sales are predicted to remain strong; even by NOK's standards the 9210 won't fill all communication needs

Bill Clinton ruined the market psyche with the MSFT case-(broke the spell)!!! and Greenspan assisted by chasing inflation "which was never a threat!-!Both should go!!!-both men's reputations are kept up by the constant support of the continuing and sickening liberal media barrage of biased hype.
