asenna, In 99 the NAZ went up around 84%. This is the same thing as a feeding frenzy by a bunch of sharks. Crazy, and out of all reason where any market is concerned. Clinton cannot, honestly, claim responsibility for such an insane rise, but honesty has never meant much to him. In 2000, the NAZ dropped about 37%. After the unreasonable eruption of 99, this is a sensible adjustment. No President, or candidate, can be blamed for this either. You can't even find cause to blame Greenspan for it. The market is a living thing that lives off the emotions of the investors that invade it's territory. The problem we will, most likely see, is a panic sell off based on the fear fed by this moderate drop. As a late democrat President said" We have nothing to fear but fear itself." ~H~
