Hi Axp......Dang, as smart as you are, I wish you would lurk less, and post here more.....gggggg I sure agree with you about this is excellent action for AIMers...just what the doctor ordered! The next time we get the up cycle, I am going to make some changes in the way I handle the 2X funds....they are so "hot" that they need some special handling....

I have never heard Brinker on the radio.....but I occasionally read the Brinker site (I guess he has pulled that now??)...and the SI Brinker site....I know that there are many who are quite risk averse who followed his October buy in the QQQ, and we all know what has happened since....also there is talk of Brinker retiring...has or is that going to happen, or is it a ploy on his part to negotiate a better radio contract??

At any rate, following a guru blindly is a sure way to be disappointed, IMO......

Regards, Bud

Hi AXP and Welcome,
If you like DCA, then you'd probably love Mr. Lichello's Twinvest. It's DCA with a brain. Same monthly allotment, but the equity/cash ration of how that allotment is used shifts in a logical fashion with the market price of the equity. Very simple, too.

I've wondered out loud here and other places why NAIC has never embraced Twinvest over DCA. Probably "Not Invented Here" syndrome.

Thanks again for stopping by,
Tom

I must have missed that QQQ trade recommended by Brinker. Nobody can pick tops and bottoms, which is why I enjoy AIMing stocks as much as I do. Brinker seems to have a handle on the general trend of the market, and still doesn't see the absolute bottom for perhaps another year. I respect his comments. (Don't necessarily follow them, however).

Sincerely,
RFH
