The county is solely responsible for the execution of the election. If there is any discrimination going on, like you allege in Cook county, it is being done by Democrats. Democrats run Cook county and have done so for years. The one line in the article that attempts to blame it on the republicans is ridiculous. It is of unknown origin. Is it even true ? If it is true, What were the circumstances of that vote ? Were there other priorities ? Was it part of a larger bill that got rejected ? and why ? Or was it a democratic money grub, trying to get the state to pay for what is a county responsibility ? If they gave money to Cook County, would the state then be forced to give money to other Counties ? Is Cook county in such dire financial circumstances that they need state funding ? Or did the IL senate think it was a bad idea to invest money in the old punch card machines and that new ones should be bought ? In any case all of these possible circumstances are irrelevant. The county is solely responsible. So you are left with Democrats disenfranchising Democrats. Makes no sense what so ever.

You know flap, you mentioned the words I wrote, but never responded directly to them, but rather went off on some sort of tangent....i.e. Bill Rehnquist...??? What proof do you have for that comment?? i.e. Palm Beach Co used those "old punch type" voting machines too.. heavily Democratic County!!! And they had used them for YEARS before this election!!!! Doesn't that even suggest ANYTHING to you??? But the most important thing is.... What do you suggest we do to PROVE that the people who want to vote are actually qualified to vote ???? (i.e. Citizenship, birth certificate, etc etc) Or don't you think that it matters????
