He did the same with me - a couple of private messages ostensibly to try and work out differences! They were so nonsensical in terms of justifying his rationale for being critical of Poet even as he did somersaults to avoid saying anything critical of Voltaire - that I asked for his permission to post for public consumption our private exchanges without any modifications. He expressed strong objection to my doing so. Oh, he also categorized me as a type 3 destructive person merely based on several postings that I made regarding the whole controversy pertaining to Voltaire! This guy is such a simplistic clown - his view of life seems to be that everything can be compartmentalized into little boxes - gorillas, type 3s', rtfm and so on. I will say, to his credit that he hosts a great thread. His capacity to be disingenuous is amazing; look at his response to your earlier post to him regarding his criticisms of Poet:Message 15059257 How can anyone post such clap-trap in an attempt to justify his position? It would have been far better if he had just said that he does not want to be critical of Voltaire, in public, because he is a friend. Instead of that he goes through a convoluted reasoning that is sophomoric. In another post, he disclaims the importance of the Nasdaq composite as a benchmark for comparison and yet he has posted on his thread how well the G&K portfolio has fared compared to the Composite! I have followed his postings for a while - on the G&K thread - and you will find that he has these rigid views that he holds as being the right way to invest, irrespective of what others might say ..... until he changes them to suit his convenience and thereupon his revised viewpoint becomes just as rigid. Take a look at the composition of his portfolio from Jan 1 to April and then the one as of late November. It has undergone drastic changes - and this from the same guy who claims to be ltb&h until the fundamentals change and looks askance and reserves his most unctuous comments for anyone who questions the ltb&h philosopy. I think that he genuinely believes that his success in the markets last year was the result of his astuteness in picking stocks - as opposed to the extraordinary market that we had last year. But then, I seem to recall that he has also posted that his investment experience began relatively recently during this bull market so perhaps he can be forgiven for confusing investment acumen with a bull market. What I found galling was his and other people's attempt to marginalize bonuss; I don't agree with bonuss' approach at times - but what UF and others chose to do was the equivalent of collective "shunning" in cyber-space. BTW, re Voltaire's paper trading, I must say in fairness to him that he stated from the outset that it was a theoretical exercise. Regards from one type 3 to another -g-
