Actually, I think the IRS will be paid out of McDermott's estate. Tax liens usually come first, although there is case law which provides that a first in time judgment lien should be paid first in some circumstances.

Edit: by estate I mean whatever he owns, e.g. car, furniture. He isn't going to need it where he's going. -ng-
