Tony - Re: "retailer Montgomery Ward is closing its doors after 125 years in business and is scheduled to make a formal announcement later today."

Wow.

The analysts will be busy tomorrow.

I'll bet they all reduce their Montgomery Ward "BUY" recommendations to "HOLD".

Hi Tony, I saw your post on the MS thread:

Message 15086497
"how about Windows 2000 64 bit server, aka Datacenter, aka Whistler must be sucking up a lot of R&D costs. Improving scalability, availability, RAS ,and suopporting >8 servers (32, 64), > 4 GB memory with Whistler takes a lot of SW folks, I guess. Maybe Microsoft is betting the company, going after Sun big time."

Good post. The last time I recall MS betting the entire farm, was when Brian Valentine decided he wanted to put Novell out of business.

In the early 90's, Brian bet the farm on NT.

I think your interpretation is correct - I believe Brian is at it again. He is a big risk taker and fortunately, he also walks on water. This could bode well for Intel.
