Perfect marriage. She is an astrologer, and I an engineer.

Nothing in common at all.

The way we met was classic. I used to be an expert class chessplayer. While in college I had no money, and my roommate would back me in bars while I played chess for drinks. I would share my winnings with him. My style was to try to think ahead three or four moves and then act like I wasn't paying attention. I knew her boyfriend, another expert class player.

So when he showed for a match (and had her in tow) once I had the game knocked I started looking for someone to talk with so it would look as if I wasn't thinking about the game.....something simple so it would not take much thought.

She was wearing a "Rampant Lion" necklace, so I went with "You are a Leo? I'm a Sag....", one of those "What's your Sign" conversations.

Whammo, won the chess game, won the gurl, haven't spoken a word of astrology since. It shall never last though. That was around 1974.

Eh, it's a good thing tomorrow is Friday. I'm talking way too off topic, even for me.
