Pretty much the same computer from Gateway is $4858 (with Rambus memory).

Both this and the Dell computers were 1.5 Ghz computers.

Over at Micron the fastest computer you can buy is an Athalon 1 ghz.

The Micron/Rambus lawsuit might be affecting daily business.

The cost of speed is interesting.

I am functioning happily on several computers the fastest of which is 500 Mhz.

I can keep on at 500 Mhz (1/2 Ghz)for $ 0.
I can double my speed (1 Ghz) for $1000.
I can triple my speed (plus more??) for $4000. + +

I'm tempted, but I don't feel the need to jump.

Anyone?
