John,
Welcome to the world of QCharts bursting quotes technology, what you are seeing happens all the time to me while watching the futures...quite annoying,

It has nothing to do with your ISP, happens to me with a DSL connection and with the 56k dial up..It also appears in the freebee Qcom charts...and I have no idea how we can eliminate the problem...

I wish you well

Hal

q.com - please read this thread....
Hal,
I know QCharts has problems sometimes but I'm just not sure it's all their fault. Have you experienced that when the quotes hang it also hangs the entire connection. A couple of months ago I suspected that when QCharts hangs it's locking up my connection because other applications stop too. That's why I'm so perplexed. I have two machines so I'm going to set up some programs to push one connection while I'm on the other one so I can see who's causing the problem. I'm also trying eSignal right now and the quotes were hanging there also but I had QCharts running at the same time when it happened. Also is it possible that when QCharts hangs it could knock my 56k modem off line? Trading is hard enough without having all this crap happen all the time. I wouldn't mind if it was just a couple of times a week but this goes on every day and it's EXTREMELY frustrating.
Thanks for your reply.
John.
