Those are about the numbers I come up with:

17,000,000 barrels a day X 365 X $10/ 100,000,000 households = $621/household.

In reality however, we never spent much time with $35 oil and oil at those prices was never fully passed along to the consumer.

We need to also factor into the equation the increase in energy costs from the rise in the price of natural gas. This is a fairly recent development and hasn't been completely realized yet.

I don't have an estimate on what this will be yet. If anyone has a guess, please make it. We won't hold you to any standard of accuracy. <g>
