well, i have those dogs on my watch lists, but i'm looking for a February bounce. i really don't want to play anything long until the final vestiges of hope are destroyed, although i do admit to some uncertainty regarding the possibility of a January effect bounce.
it's just not high enough on my probability scale right now to merit a trade. do not misconstrue this as advice...for all i know the January effect could even be quite strong in view of how beaten down many of the losers of 2000 are.

i have two possible scenarios in mind, one looking for a rally into the full moon/eclipse on Jan. 9 and a humdinger of a collapse thereafter, or the collapse goes right into the eclipse, a possibility i like better from a time segment PoV, as it would give the market the opportunity for a proper re-test a few weeks later when the cycle lows arrive.
