<<Is anyone else noticing big differences in their heating bills, or do I have a problem and if so, what could it be?>>

The bill for December hasn't arrived yet but it will be high. The windchill this year has been at least 20 degrees colder each day than last year.

However, last April I joined a co-op that had natural gas prices locked in for a year. I'll be paying for more volume but at last year's rates.

I have heard of people buying natural gas contracts on the commodity market during the summer. You buy the contract and pay rent on the delivery pipes to your local gas company.

Got the gas bill yesterday

While mine was nothing like yours...it included a gas cost adjustment that was about equal to the base amount.

Since I use gas for my spa, house heating, water heating, and fireplace the idea of $10 natural gas sends shivers through my bones.<G>
