Do you think I disguise my feelings? I wish my wife thought so!!

I understand what you mean, but it is possible and best to be true to oneself and respectful of others at the same time.

To not be respectful is to be closed minded, determining that one's own thoughts have validity, and the others have not even enough validity to consider them. To be respectful does not mean being untrue to oneself.

And if someone is just stupid, that is certainly a good reason not to tell them they are. Kind of counter-productive not to mention cruel.

Basically, as you said, it's a matter of whether there is enough time and energy. I maintain that there is, in almost all cases.

Here's a thought for you - what if you have kids and you don't respect their thoughts? You gonna bash em?

Kids teach us a hell of a lot of tolerance.

Peter

One last word from me, and then I'll let you have the final word if you wish.

It is also a matter of expediency that we pretend that we like, or ignore that we don't like, one another.

Imagine yourself in a big city, expressing your views uncensored to any and all. Dangerous. Your life expectancy would be substantially reduced.

In fact, life insurers should add tactfulness as an underwriting criterion.

We work together because we can create efficiciencies unachievable on our own. In order to work together, we must behave in a way that maintains the willingness of others to work with us. It is a simple practical matter.

That may be more of an urban outlook, and from your perspective may appear unimportant.

Peter

This is a Harrry Browne Libertarian thing. No matter what you're into, do it, eff society and it's rules.

I once heard Bob Marley say "How can I expect to be justified by the laws of man"

And ahhh, you can "drop trou" like pete said in March. Hope to see ya

Happy New Year to you my friends.

Burns, You are a pompous ass.

<<I would never
put kindness above correctness. A world where everyone has to worry about not offending others at every turn>>

Mr. Perfect, What in your mind is "correctness"?

Are you the type that would drag a black man behind a truck?
Would you beat a gay to death on a fence because he didn't meet your standards for "correctness"??

You are a sick fuck, bud!!
