Well, I have lots of kids and a wife determined not to have them grow up in the city. It’s quite worth it for me to drive home (grin). The house came with my wife. I don't think I ever would have bought a place there, not that I don't like it, but because it would never have occurred to me to live permanently in the city. I positively love trees and green grass. I love mountains. I hate loud noise and incessant traffic.

I should say, however, that when living in the city, I have found it surprising how quite it becomes. Either I adjust to the noise, or the streets are really just very quiet (or perhaps we have good insulation in our place). Whatever the case, it is surprisingly quiet for a city that never sleeps.

D.C. is becoming a decent place again, now that you folks have a decent mayor. Tony Williams is a HEAP better than Marion whathisname.
