Are you really trying to compare the bombing of Cambodia with D-Day landings or hostage negotiations? This wasn't a little one day bombing run. And I thought you were an anti-war activist at the time? If you were, you would very well know the reason Nixon lied.

"The U.S. Congress, increasingly concerned over the president's lack of interest in seeking their consent regarding military operations, soon passed the Cooper-Church Amendment. The amendment legally forbade Nixon from military engagements in Cambodia beyond June 30th as well as prevented US support of the Cambodian armed forces through training and bombing raids. For all intents and purposes, the war in Cambodia was now illegal as far as the Congress was concerned. It was also the first time in US history that the legislative branch had ever restricted the war powers of the executive branch."

Neocom,
while I am usually sympathetic with your viewpoint, I think the North Vietnamese knew we were in Cambodia. Inspite what ever RN was saying.

As far as the Iranian hostages - didn't one of these Conspiracy theorist claim that they flew George Bush on a SR71 Blackbird to Paris and back to make the time fit? Maybe the Iranians really met with dubya or George P. Bush.
