Woods not durable enough for coinage. Besides, it is far too precious. Better to make the coins from gold and then bake on an enamel wood simulated finish to fool the people into thinking they are holding the real thing(wood). <ggg>

The old saying "Money doesn't grow on trees." is still true, but we might want to modernize it to "Trees don't grow in a day." I can visualize a father saying it to his son to try and curb some reckless spending "You know son. You aught to be more careful how you spend your money. After all, trees don't grow in a day."
