IMO, much "smart" money has made a killing in the techs and also in the energy sector. When the miners get going again, there should be a significant influx of $. It won't take too much IMO- look at the average volume of any miner now vs what it was pre-BreX. An increase in average daily volume could go a long way. I think we may be seeing some "smart" money trickling back into the miners today as evidenced by the XAU being up in spite of gold being down. Hopefully 2001 will be better than 2000.

PFN, among others, is likely to have a good move this year,
as exploration starts. One approach that I have taken
is to put money into several PGM plays, as one or more
is likely to have a good year, but it is difficult to
select the one that will have a great move. Until attitudes
toward the junior sector changes, it will probably be
best to trade these, rather than buy and hold.
