Neocon,
Last summer I finally got a liberal (former {being called dogmatic, egregiously mistaken, uneducated and other synonyms for stupid for citing inconvenient facts tends to put me off}) friend to concede that >Statistics demonstrate that the median income
increased in the Reagan-Bush years, and that most people fared better,as they moved
into higher income categories.
< His counter argument was "That's only because business was doing well." Against this kind of logic(sic) we are helpless in our efforts to educate.

Communism imploded on itself and that was inevitable. Mankind cannot sustain itself without incentive and Communism does not provide incentive for common men. The severe alcoholism in the Soviet Union was indicative of the loss of individual direction and dispair that comes from a subdued ego and an inability to change ones lifestyle.
