Slider: I'm disappointed that you haven't shorted some of these high-fliers yet. Waiting for Q to post real time when he buys NG futures, and then shorting, is a little too easy, don't you think? ;-)

A little extreme don't you think? I for one agree with you but differ a little on timing (and to an extent the risk/reward of shorting these plays). And as always most here are not in the EOG's, NBL's, APA's etc. It appears to me that many that are still in NG plays are in the runts that haven't moved yet.

The public, by and large, is still clueless about the natural gas situation. There is no OPEC or SNGR. And if end the winter under 500 (which looks very likely) then we potentially see the same issues next year. Can there be a disconnect between fundamentals? Of course, that's why I'm less than 50% in this sector, but some of the small caps under 250 mil in market cap could do quite well under the radar.

OT - What I find strange is how the dollar is at 5 month lows, the Nasdaq has corrected from 5000 to 2300, bad corporate and consumer debt appears to be a problem and the POG is still under $270. Loosing a little confidence in the yellow stuff at least in the short term. In looking at the gold dollar chart I noticed that sometimes the relationship can be delayed by 6 months plus. Maybe that's just what we have here and if/when the dollar continues to pullback gold will start to tred higher in the next several months - I hope. I don't understand the recent pullback from 275 to 268.

For the record I've raised a little cash in anticipation of a very large tax bill. Nothing seems incredibly appealing from both a fundamental AND technical standpoint.
