Short covering rally, nothing to get excited about, they'll short it back down until just before earning, then cover: who would want to hold a short position on SUNW into earnings? Then we may see some recovery. P. (My opinion is biased: SUNW is 35% of my portfolio. It used to be 50%).

I hope you're unduly pessimistic. By the time I got my buy order in SUNW was 30 3/4, and that's where I bought. So I'm already down a bit on today's purchase. But I think this rally will go. Never fight the Fed (didn't we just learn that lesson the hard way?!). If they want the economy to recover, it WILL recover. It's just a question of how quickly. That they went a whole half point suggests they're very serious about this. JMHO, of course, and I'm generally wrong. Charles Tutt (TM)

Hey QS: You're gonna be SURPRISED!! haha. JDN Here's the scenario as I see it. January 18th or so SUNW reports record sales AGAIN and strong market, January 31st Fed drops rates ANOTHER 25 basis points, February 15th or so Bush and crew announce they are proceeding to study tax cut plans including adjustments in the capital gains tax calculations (I can see where they could say to help the LITTLE GUY they will completely eliminate CG tax on say the first 20,000 of gain)--NOW WHO COULD OPPOSE THAT.. June 30th SUNW HITS $50 a share. JDN
