John and mtnlady,

My thinking is that CRM isn't mission-critical. However, because the purpose of CRM is to help provide a sustainable, competitive advantage, I do believe that it's going to be one of the last parts of the budget to recieve wholesale cuts. In that light, I read an article in the last couple of weeks that said that next year more than half of corporations are planning that 50% of their IT budgets will be devoted to CRM. Sorry that I don't remember the article or the source of the information.
