Souze, Verizon is the only national coverage option. I suppose there are some smaller local carriers that may be compatible, but the constant roaming charges you would incur - unless you are located and do most of your calling in one of their coverage areas - would probably be exorbitant. <edit> I was away from computer for awhile and failed to note RS had already answered your question in his usual thorough and authoritative manner. Thanks RS. I think the point about roaming becomes an issue for most users.<end edit> Still curious about the data question - cell vs sat mode. Pierre
