Ever the optimist, I think these are 'sticky' gains, and that we'll get an additional 1/4 point cut.

Whilst we may see more warnings, it won't be from anyone of consequence. The ones who matter already revised their 2001 projections downward during the Sept/Oct fiasco. I expect them to meet (not beat) expectations.

Expect "smart money" will start buying after the second cut. This April's QQQ will be the exact opposite of last April: bigcharts.com

The QQQ has been holding up pretty well this month. Lowest low was the day of the rate cut (Jan 03), $52.16. Highest highs YTD have been the past three trading sessions (Jan 18, 19, 22) $66.75, $68.31, $67.00 respectively. About +16% YTD.
