Eric L. - Thanks for explaining the connection between MSM5100 and MSM5105 and any possible lag in Korean roll-outs. I read your links and it actually says that MSM5100 is complain with phase 0 of IS-2000 but MSM5105 is compliant with phase 1. If we could track down what changed between phase 0 and phase 1 then we would probably get a good glimpse at something that the Korean telcos really want. (Or maybe the Japanese really want.)

EL - Didn't I go on about the publicity balckout on the Korean 1X deployment. I said I would keep on nagging and one kind poster want me and e-nail suggesting that if I wanted to continue maoning about it that I do it elswhere.

The Worlds firts 3G mobile operation seems to me to be a BIG story. Even Mr Cabi ought to find it of great interest.

The question still remains and now it comes up yet again on the thread by others.
