TMann: <<Who pays?? The entity getting the monthly fees which would be the service provider and G* to some degree.>

That's a nice theory.. Ahhh!! If only we could get them to just pay for their Gateways, and current UT's.. You have seen the statement in the 10K about all the Vendor Financing being provided to the Service Providers? Haven't you?

And from this statement..Who pays??
4. Offer LOR fixed satellite service customers (cable companies, the network media, etc, etc) discounts on satellite time for volume G* purchases.

So the Globlstar Service Providers are going to reimburse LORAL at face value the discount that Loral is supposed to provide to it's current FSS customers?? We can't even get some of them to pay for what they agreed to pay for last year, or two years ago!!

I agree, If the Service Providers see some HUGE, HUGE, HUGE unlocked potential in the market that requires a new Smaller, Lighter handset.. And they are willing to fund the R&D and put their money on the table INSTEAD OF LORAL OR QUALCOMM.. Then let them "Go For IT!".. However, I tend to think you will be "Disappointed".. The Service Providers have been weaned on this concept with the promise of "Lion Share of the Revenue", with little up front costs.
