Hummm... i wonder why this thread is not as active as before. I wonder where everyone that has taken Teresa's course are hanging out now. I wonder if they are now practicing TA in their trades. And if they are, I wonder whether they are doing better than before. I wonder whether they would be interested in getting together and practice TA. Wonder, wonder, wonder!

Ally,

Re HUM and errant trades, are you saying they broke the trade after the fact? Probably some PO'd others regardless.

Re CDN stocks, absolutely agree, few are liquid enough for short term trading, although moving up to weekly charts on some might be worth a look.

Re RIM - charted RIMM but the comments are the same:

RIMM breaks through the range low. Look at the big point swings. There's been high volume at each major swing low. I guess the momo folks have been having their way with this one - certainly more than the 'investors'.

On Wednesday it neared the prior swing low but did not breach it/make a marginal swing low. Probably most folks figured that for a successful test, especially since that day completed a classic 'piercing line' candle (prior day a long dark candle, second day a white candle with the open below the low of the prior day and a close above the midpoint of the prior day) which is typically a bullish reversal pattern.

However the next day was a day of hangovers apparently and the crowds indecision was reflected in an inside bar. Leaving Friday's move down through the range.

The adventurous could go long if price moves above the high of Friday plus maybe a point.

Given the last few days - the break of the swing low was not a marginal break (although with the big swings this stock makes who knows) - I'd be more inclined to follow any rally from here with the intent to go short if the low of any up day is broken.
