X, During the first week this thread was running, in mid-December, we had a very interesting discussion going about abortion. A number of posters here discussed our abortions (including myself), focusing upon the mixture of grief (at having to make the choice) and relief (that a safe legal choice was available to them). There were also a significant number of posters who discussed their personal distaste for abortion. It was a very moving discussion, one which highlighted the wide range of views on the topic, even among people who view themselves as liberal. Worth looking at, IMO.
