Why are you angry, defensive and personal GZ? If you've been to war you must know that killing with a weapon is better than hand to hand combat. How can I know what you are or what your life experiences have been? You could go to war and still not understand war and weaponry. Many people learn nothing from their experiences- how could I possibly know if you have? I still don't know. Are you arguing that is is NOT more efficient and clean to kill with a gun? Are you arguing that is is more efficient and easier psychologically to kill with axes and knives? Or was the emotional paragraph about you and your experiences a mere smoke screen that I was supposed to be distracted by? As for being emotional, you're the one who jumped the crick into tantrum land. I've thought a lot about my position, and I do not believe you understand it. My position is based on what kind of world I want to live in. Clearly that world is different from the world you want to live in- but that doesn't make my thinking shallow, emotional, or thoughtless. I was lying in bed last night thinking that maybe much of this love of guns is sexual. Guns represent masculinity in our culture- John Wayne, James Bond. They are phallic looking, they go off, and explode. I am sure there must be much written on this. I plan to read up on it.
