I don't think I actually proposed gun restrictions. I think that was merely assumed by some hot blooded emotional people responding to my posts. I am conflicted about that issue. I am more concerned with how people who have guns store those weapons. And I am VERY concerned about the media and how it portrays guns and guns use. Of course I don't want crazy people or felons getting guns- but considering those 340,000 instances of gun theft I mentioned - from our national statistics- they will be able to get illegal guns no matter what the registration requirements are.

I don't see my position on guns as being very liberal.

I think it is impossible to argue that the media does not glamorize killing with guns. We are shown guns killing people, most of the time with one shot. There is a very nonchalant quality to much gun violence. The "heroes" in our movies can slaughter hordes of people, and it's ok. It's not even very gruesome- people just slump to the ground, neatly, in little heaps.
