Yeah, what you said.

But seriously, some people like democracy more than their political ideas and some like it less. There were conservatives talking about doing a bigger version of Waco if Gore won (presumably a Waco in which the protestors were not incinerated, but who knows?).

There are really extreme people I wouldn't want to be locked in a room with on both sides. There are people who see Koresh as a hero. There are people who see Al Sharpton as a hero. I've got a problem with both extremes. Bless the vast sea of folks in the middle. I suppose we need the extremes- I don't know why- but I'd like to believe they serve some purpose.

YOU don't sound so bland right now, banana pablum breath.
I do NOT believe that "the structure of the democratic and electoral process in this country is still perfectly intact."

Gore didn't lose. He didn't lose Florida. He didn't lose the popular vote. He didn't lose the electoral vote. He was cheated out of it. The USSC butted in where it had no business, leading to an illusion of closure by ignorant American sheep who failed civics and didn't want either turkey dinner spilt, and Repugnicans who are not above scraping a used wad of an election off the sidewalk to suck as if it were fresh and mandated them.

I wish I had a great big DIC$, I mean gun, so I can give as good as I get if the USSC tyranny continues.

Bland, I'm impressed. I don't always agree with your perspective, but I appreciate your being willing to come back and talk about all this, regardless of what YYB says about your breath. <gg>

How is the market treating you, BTW? Have you covered your portfolio?
