Thanks Heinz, one more point to ponder regarding parity power.

In NYC one bedroom apartment rents north of $26,000 or close to 80% of average earnings.

Food would come in around $10,000 a year and utilities including telephone cable and internet around $3400

Sum that up and there is no slack left for savings or even entertainement, but debt around $6000 a year from the average.

I can not calculate same for China as I do not have the actual numbers, but one thing is for sure 1/2 galon of milk does not cost over there $2.25 and $2.39 for lb of rye bread which I pay at local supermarket.

My point of bringing up China and India is due the available free cash and saving rates there which can be spend on all kind of electronic gadgets. Difficult to asses the buying power of the middle to upper class of close to 2.5 billion people compared to 280 million in the US many of which do not have the luxury to even by a PC.
