Nobody is advocating anything. Democrats believe that gov't should keep it's nose out of a woman's uterus. a woman should be able to make her own choice based on her religious beliefs, her psychological background and her doctor's advice along with many other non-measurable factors. Her choice could be not to have an abortion but it should be HER choice not the gov't imposing it's will.

I know a scientist that took immature neuron cells from a human embryo and stimulated them genetically to develop into mature human neurons in tissue culture. They are now being used in clinical trials to replace cells in the brains of people that were victims of strokes. Many of these people are regaining many skills lost as a result of the stroke.

The second application will be Parkinson's disease and I believe that there is great hope that this treatment could be used also for individuals with spinal cord injuries. Of course........maybe everyone against the use of these tissues in research should declare that they and their families should never receive any benefit from this type of treatment.

Dear d.taggart: I have come to enjoy the FOX channel on T/v ever since the election. The program I enjoy the most is the Riley Anti Spin show. Last night I heard a LOT of discussion as to the CORRUPTION in this current administration. Riley felt it was the WORST in history, the guest commentator, an experienced political analyst felt it was probably in the top 5. The point is NO ONE DISAGREED with the INCREDIBLE CORRUPTION which is beginning to come to light. I am sure the Democrats in Congress are WELL AWARE of a lot of this and fear a STRIDENT, INCORRUPTABLE attorney general. Its all about CORRUPTION AND COVERUP not about one black judge who didnt get in office. JDN

As a broad observation I've found that individuals who believe in liberal democrat policies also have a belief system that says one can pay a government workers to take care of those in need and then one can carry on and think of oneself as generous as ones pays ones taxes. The liberal elite other than for photo opps do not want to mix with the poor and pay others to do so. Thus when an individual like Ms Chavez comes along and takes doing and helping others as a personal responsibility then all the liberals are having their fundamental deep seated believe system made to look the corpse it is and they not wanting to be morally wrong must destroy that which undermines this belief system. Mr. Ascroft has views that also attack this fundamental self worth belief system and thus some, the self centered self absorbed in the righteousness of their belief system must attack and destroy.
