ddr in the msft x box will pressure mu if they are the ddr vendor. msft will not want unlicensed ddr in their new gameplayer. doesn't msft hold rmbs stock.

P4 ramp is not critical. It is the prospect of paying higher royalty rate on DDR than competitors which will sell in volume in 2001 for XBOX, PIII, P4, VIA and AMD processors. Crucial, a subsidary of Micron, is currently selling DDR memory at same price as SDRAM. PC demand is so slow that Micron is willing to sell any type of DRAM to anyone even at a loss.
