Hi Jdaasoc; Re price of DDR versus SDRAM...

Micron is selling DDR on Crucial at (about) the same price they charge for PC133 on Crucial. This is not to say that they are selling either DDR or PC133 at a loss. Crucial prices are considerably above prices on PriceWatch.

Crucial PriceWatch
PC133 128MB $77.39 $ 39.00 (unbuf, NP, CL3)
PC1600 128MB $85.99 $168.00 (unbuf, NP)

Micron's pricing for 128MB PC133 is way over the PriceWatch figure, and that is below their price for PC1600. No reason to believe that Micron is selling anything through Crucial at a loss, either SDRAM or DDR. Of course it is possible that Micron is selling SDRAM or DDR at a loss outside of Crucial, but we don't have data on that. To get an idea what real DDR pricing is like, we will have to wait until it is a lot more common, just as we had to wait until RDRAM was reasonably common before getting a good idea of how much it cost. (And it turns out to be rather expensive.)
